The objective of the project is to deepen our understanding of how young people in Slovakia perceive the risks of radicalization in the online environment. It focuses on young people aged 16–25 who face a toxic environment, hate speech, and extremist content in the digital space. The project combines an analysis of existing research with focus group discussions to capture not only data but also the experiences, motivations, and needs of young people. The outcome will be a comprehensive knowledge base and a synthesis of recommendations that will help experts and policymakers better design preventive measures and respond to risks in the online environment. The project will build on the Orange Foundation’s representative study “Online Without Risk” and supplement it with additional data and qualitative insights from the field, thereby creating a comprehensive picture of what threatens young people and what they need.
