TImeframe: January 2025 – December 2025
In partnership with UNHCR.
The topic of social service provision is one of the key aspects of the integration of people with a migration and refugee background. The provision of social services for all, including foreigners, is an essential element of human rights and dignity.
The project will focus on analysing the set-up of the social service delivery system in terms of its accessibility for refugees and foreigners. In the next phase, we will conduct a questionnaire survey at the level of district towns on the real experience in the provision of social services to this target group. We will complement the quantitative data with qualitative research in three municipalities, where we will explore in more depth what is the practice in the provision of social services to refugees and foreigners, what barriers municipalities face in this area, and what would help them to provide social services in a more efficient and inclusive way.
The project will result in a draft methodology or recommendations (guidelines) for municipalities on how to ensure an inclusive approach in the provision of social services at the local level.
