CVEK

graduated from the University of Sussex, Brighton where she majored in Applied Social Psychology. Perhaps it was her own migrant experience that raised her professional interest in interethnic relations and cultural diversity. In 2009 she joined the Centre for the Research of Ethnicity and Culture where she specialises in political discourses on minorities and national identity as well as prejudice, stereotypes and social identity issues. Since 2011 she has co-edited the Centre’s critical quarterly Minority Policy in Slovakia. When not at work, Alena loves to relax with a good film or a book, ideally on the Croatian coast. She is also an avid theatre-goer.
